This policy describes the instructions and process for requesting the deletion of your account and personal data on the Ecomend mobile app.

1. HOW TO SUBMIT A DELETION REQUEST

Ecomend accounts are issued by your Cooperative or Management Unit. To submit an account and personal data deletion request, choose one of the following methods:

Send an email to data.ecomend@gmail.com with the subject "Account Deletion Request".

METHOD 2

Contact Cooperative Admin

Members may directly notify their Cooperative Administrator to initiate account unlinking and deletion from the platform.

Applicable for accounts managed centrally by the Cooperative.

2. SCOPE OF DELETED DATA

Upon successful receipt and identity verification of the request, the system will permanently delete personal data including:

  • Account Details: Full name, login phone number, email address, profile picture.
  • Location & Personal Uploads: User-uploaded media files and associated personal GPS coordinates.
  • Local Device Storage: Cached local data will be removed immediately upon logout or application uninstallation.

3. DATA RETENTION AND ANONYMIZATION REGULATIONS

To comply with food safety regulations and agricultural product traceability standards:

Anonymized Cultivation Log Records

Farming activity logs, fertilizer records, and harvest data required for food traceability are retained in an anonymized format (completely unlinked from personal identity, phone, or name) for a period of 5 years per cooperative audit regulations.

Principle: "Ensuring continuous agricultural product traceability while strictly eliminating personal identity data upon deletion request."

4. PROCESSING TIMELINE AND CONTACT INFORMATION

4.1 Processing Timeline: ECO-MEND will verify account ownership via the registered phone number and complete request processing within 30 business days.
